We can keep it down, but it will be about the same volume as watching an action movie in the living room.
Not necessarily, We meet at a public place like a coffee shop, or a park as well. If we meet in an area like a coffee shop, we will both use earbuds/ headphones, so as to not disturb our neighbors. It won't change the curriculum, or the teaching process, we just won't make a lot of noise.
Not much. A quiet place free from distractions. living room, dining room table, outside patio, garage etc. With access to an electrical outlet. No bedrooms.
No, we do not. Our 1-on-1 process is designed to teach the students to grasp the most basic elements of mixing music as a DJ. The learning curve ,and corrective actions are much more effective when instructed in person. I can correct teach proper techniques before bad habits are established.

I'm a freelance, open-format DJ/MC.
I've been working full-time for over 20 years, with hundreds of 5-star reviews, and thousands of satisfied clients.
I am routinely called when a client has very specific music needs, that their present DJ team is not qualified for, or does not want to take on.
I do between 30 to 60 shows, per year, depending on various factors. I've done corporate functions, music festivals, nightclubs, weddings and more. I've even done a funeral... It's a long story.
I have trained dozens of DJs, and in turn, they have taken the curriculum, modified it to fit their needs, and trained their current staff, and hundreds of others.
The reason I decided to teach DJ Mix lessons is I'm watching this new group of up-and-coming DJs, and seeing some commonalities. Some think having a computer and a huge social media following is all you need.
They get the computer program to mix for them, jump around the stage, point to their friends, and take selfies.
You have to put in the work and it starts here.
